Red Sea

Recently I started a new job in Jeddah, which is on the Red Sea. This is much better for me since I love being by the water as well as diving, snorkeling and swimming. As a matter of fact, soon after I arrived, I signed up for diving lessons and am well on my way to being certified. The diving is very good here, since the Red Sea is very clear. My first time out I swam for several minutes next to a large sea turtle. Beautiful!

So all in all I am very happy to have left Riyadh, although one fly in the ointment is that my wife is still there, working at a hospital. She has put in for a transfer to a hospital here, but it may take some time. So for the time being we are having a long distance relationship. Boo hoo.
